Every fall, thousands of RVs point south toward Texas for the winter... and while most follow the crowd to the border valley, a growing number of Winter Texans are stopping in the Hill Country instead. More to do than anywhere. This is the real Hill Country advantage. New Braunfels' shops and restaurants are ten minutes away. Gruene Hall has live Texas music all winter. San Antonio... the River Walk, world-class medical care, an international airport for family visits... is a short drive. Austin is a day trip. A community, not a waiting room. Winter at Canopy has its own rhythm: morning coffee conversations, potluck-friendly neighbors, dogs who all know each other by December. Many of our winter guests re-book for next year before they pull out in spring... which is also the honest warning.
